Formed out of the Hutchinson Estate and Dock Company which, during the second half of the 19th century had the first rail-connected dock in the world, AHC Westlink Ltd is today part of the Westlink Group of companies, whose activities include ports, intermodal transportation and logistics.
 
Westlink Storage and Shipping operates from the Port of Weston and has access from the River Mersey. It also has container and bulk-handling facilities onto the Manchester Ship Canal, 50,000 sqft of bonded storage and warehousing and excellent road, rail and inland waterway links.

AHC Westlink is located immediately adjacent to the Ditton Sidings at Widnes, and has its own, fully-functional railhead termini, providing easy access to and from the West Coast Main Line, with ongoing rail-freight connections throughout the whole of the UK.

AHC Westlink is fully HM Revenue & Customs approved and is a Security-Approved Channel Tunnel Freight Forwarder (SACTFF).
